Hi! My name is Kathie Davis, and I'm thrilled to be teaching the half-day Kindergarten program again this year. I've been a teacher at Manzanita for over twenty years, and taught Third Grade and Fourth Grade as well as Kindergarten. I  retired five years ago and moved to Southern California with my husband.  I love California, but Tucson is my home, and it is good to be back!

My husband, Dick, is my best friend. He makes me laugh every day!  My children are all grown up and raising their own families! My oldest son Brian lives in San Francisco with his wife, Kelly, and my grandson, Dylan. My son, Jeremy, lives in Costa Mesa, California, with his girlfriend Joelle and their dog, Brooklyn. Christina, my niece, is also a teacher! She lives in Oro Valley with her husband, Shane, and their two children, Ashley and Aiden.

In my spare time I love to walk, practice yoga, read, listen to music, and spend time with my friends and family. Sitting by the ocean, listening to the waves and feeling the cool breeze is one of my favorite things to do. I also love hiking in the desert, enjoying the blue sky and looking for signs of wildlife. I am thrilled to be back teaching Kindergarten at Manzanita, and looking forward to a great year!
